Here are the books that I am attempting to read.
- How Dogs Think
Stanley Coren
This is the best book of the ones that I have so far. I'm only 1/4 of the way through and I already know more about dogs than I ever thought I would. He goes into too much depth sometimes and I have to put it down for a while. One of the Amazon reviewers stated that "anyone who owns a dog should read this book!" I think I agree. - Doctor Dunbar's Good Little Dog Book
Dr. Ian Dunbar
It's a very thin book, not wordy at all and it has a lot of pictures (which is always good). There is no fluff and not much why, but a lot of how to do things. What I like best is that the pictures show correct hand positioning for the sight commands. It will be a good reference book for the times I want an answer quickly on one page instead of ten. - The New Better Behavior in Dogs
William Campbell
I haven't even started this book yet. - The Art of Raising a Puppy
The Monks of New Skete
Okay, I bought into the marketing hype on this one. Everyone says how great the book is. I don't know, it lost me about the second page. Maybe I'm not patient enough. I just kept thinking "so what?" I'll have to give this one another chance, later.
